An Acceptable Technology Use Policy is known as the AUP. It is a contract between user and School District that specifies rules and regulations for accessing technology. It is used to keep all parties updated on the exspectations of using the technology and network at the school. This is a contract that must be signed to assure there is an understanding on the Acceptable Use Policy. A form should look something like the one below. Most School Districts will send this piece of paper home with each student for it to be signed and returned before they are allowed to used the technoloy and network.

Internet Safety & Acceptable Use of Computer Technology

The goal of this Acceptable Technology Use Policy is to ensure that students will benefit from learning opportunities offered by the school’s Internet resources in a safe and effective manner. Internet use and access is considered a school resource and a privilege for all students. Be sure you read this Acceptable Technology Use Policy  carefully to ensure that the conditions of use are accepted and understood.

It is the desire of the Conecuh County School System that each student and their parent/s and/or guardian/s receive a copy Student Internet Safety & Acceptable Use of Computer Technology. The Student Internet Safety & Acceptable Use of Computer Technology
